DropBeam is engineered from the ground up as a zero-cloud local peer-to-peer file transfer utility. When you send or receive files using DropBeam, data travels directly between your devices over your local Wi-Fi or Ethernet network. Files never pass through or get stored on any remote cloud servers.
We do not collect, store, inspect, or log your transferred files, filenames, IP addresses outside your local subnet, or hardware identifiers. There are no user accounts, no tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics SDKs bundled inside DropBeam.
DropBeam uses standard multicast DNS (mDNS / Bonjour) protocols to broadcast and detect device availability on your local subnet. This broadcast is confined to your private local network and is never broadcast over the public internet.
Direct peer-to-peer transfer sockets utilize local cryptographic handshakes and TLS 1.3 encryption to protect data in transit across your local network from eavesdropping or packet interception.
Should any operational aspects change in future major updates, we will revise the date at the top of this policy.
